Cannot find created esp file

I'm going through the tutorial, created a small dungeon, saved the file as it's own ESP file, all this is well and good.

 

The file can't be loaded into Skyrim, because it's not in the Data folder. It isn't anywhere on the computer. The only scrap of it's existence is a shortcut (which leads nowhere) found in the Recent Items menu.

 

Here's the weird part. File loads and behaves perfectly inside the Creation Kit itself. Shows up right with the rest of them, loads properly, and contains the correct information.

 

So, what the hell is happening with the plugin file?

 

Edit: Somehow found this topic already showing up on the forum, but now that I fixed the problem (run as Admin), my file has vanished. Such is life.
