Issues with new mods...

Recommended Posts

  • Weird camera tunnel/DoF issue (check distorsion on screen edges). Fully healed, no status effects, no rad.
  • Several models missing (the big ! is for a ghoul head)
  • Several textures missing (body parts)
  • Textures low quality (check player sleeves)
  • Ash pile texture changes randomly
  • Crosshair duplicated
All this just by booting up the game...

Tried following many guides, and the biggest offender is apparently FCO. Used FOOM and LOOT to edit the order, but nothing...
Please help, really want to play modded!

You can sort with loot but you still have to manually check for conflicts with FNVedit. FCO needs all NPC conflicts sorted and patched or you will get errors. You can use console command click the error triangle and type GBO then check FNVedit for what mesh your are missing.

The double crosshair is because you have both PN and SP cross hairs on turn one of them off. PN has a blur effect for withdrawals might be that.

I'm a bit new to intense modding, so will need some explanations

  • FNVedit shows many issues. How do I know which should be the one to use? http://prntscr.com/m2nbco
  • Is loading before, or loading after, the one that prioritises?
  • "You can use console command click the error triangle and type GBO then check FNVedit for what mesh your are missing" Ok, I have the info: [NPC_:000CC1D8]. "Dead_Ghoul". What now? It says nothing changes it, as it's part of the main .esm
  • What about the missing textures?

That screen shot is assests being overwritten in your mod organizer. I assume that is Vortex and I personally use MO so I can't be of much help with that other than you want assists to be overwritten similarly to your mod list order. Lower conflicts win out.

Speaking for FCO's NPC conflicts you want to copy to overwrite all FCO NPC records to a new esp (usually your merged patch) and place it lowest in your load order. That will allow them to win any conflicts and should allow them to show with proper meshes. FCO should have a guide somewhere on it's page as setting it up is extensive or check it's section here https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Fallout_NV_Mod_Conflict_Troubleshooting

NPC_:000CC1D8 isn't the base npc it's calling a template for the mesh either NPC_:0008159A is being overwritten or NPC_:000810e7 is causing that missing mesh red triangle error.

If the sleeves are missing a texture they will cycle random textures, if they static and not changing but are just low quality that would be a different issue or two.

That load order is not sorted correctly. (It's close, but this is neither "horseshoes" nor "hand grenades".)

Please see the 'Vanilla "Load Order"' entry in the 'First Timer Advice' section; as well as the 'Body Replacement Basics' and 'Common Game Problems' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

* You really need to use a "Merge Patch File" with that collection of mods. Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One' and 'Merge Patch File' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

Then see the 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article, in addition to the "Body Replacer - " entries in the "Graphics" section as mentioned above.
