Any way around it?

So now it seems that i can't use NMM (even though it says that they don't expect everyone to move to Vortex right now), when i click mod manager download it says the download is going to Vortex and ofc it does not start on NMM, and i can't use Vortex because it's 64bit only. So, am i screwed and have to do all manual, or am i just being stupid and there's other way to make NMM work?

I ran into the same problem. In my case I have a ton of mods already installed and was concerned about getting them to work properly and not conflict with each other once I changed over to Vortex. I did not want to take that risk since NMM works perfectly fine for me and I saw no reason to. Plus I didn't want to bother having to learn a new mod manager program until I get a new computer. Yes, I know I'm lazy .

In any event I've found that in order to continue to use NMM you simply have to download the mod file manually. Once it is downloaded then open NMM and click the green + button on the left side of the screen that states "add mod from file." Then click your manually downloaded file and it will load it into NMM.

I'm sure we will all eventually be using Vortex, but in the meantime that seems to be the work around.
