BaldurAnthology
Byron stared at the dragon. The dragon stared right back. I'm hungry. Feed me. The dragon says with his mind. Byron looked shocked. "How did ye do that?" With your mind, think your responses, fool. Ornthrond responds, Rafiki laughed. "Ya gotta talk wit you mind. I could use some food, is the inn Open?" Byron looked up. "Yeah, it will be in a moment. I gotta sweep up this mess."
Sherentine
Savantra left the dusty old shop, knowing that she'll have to start getting ready in a few hours. The sun was just beginning to descend after its noon peak, and she could do with some food. Walking down the road with the tavern in mind, she looked up once more at the tower at the end of the road, still curious about the nature of the shaman's other "stone". She came to the entrance of the tavern and pushed open the door, a low fog of pipe smoke hanging below the ceiling. The lighting was dim, and laughter and various snippets of conversation could be heard throughout the tavern. Ugh, I wish there was a slightly better way to dine.. She sat at the far end of the counter, asking for a sangria with a loaf of seasoned bread and cheese. The bartender turned and got the ingredients for the drink as Savantra examined her hands absent-mindedly, rubbing off collected dirt from her palms. With a plateful of food and a dark red drink placed before her, she handed over some gold pieces with a bit of copper and nibbled at the bread. A bit stale. She decided while eating that she'd make her way to the tower and find out if anything dragon-related occured there as well.
BaldurAnthology
Byron sees a new person enter the tower's inn level, which was one floor below the potion shop, and after depositing Ornthrond on his shoulder, he sits in his armchair and yanks a lever beside it. Ornthrond jumps to his lap, and the lift the chair was set on descends to the lower level. He sees an elf lady walking around. Hmm, that's rare. He thinks to himself. Getting some meat from a waiter, he starts feeding it piece by piece to his dragon, and after feeding it all to his dragon, he sits down in his chair. She seemed to be looking for something, so he would observe and wait. Stroking his dragon's scales, he smokes his pipe and relaxes.
AurianaValoria1
Koralina wrapped her slender tail around Cecilia's arm, still humming. She watched the man with shimmering white eyes. Food? Two-legs has food?
Flipout6
Thorand stood, slightly exasperated, as one of the women in the shop slid 40 gold pieces across the table. people who tried to gain as many favors as they could always came collecting at some time or another. He had learned that lesson during his younger days, when he travelled many places with his father, who was a merchant, and his mother, who was a tailor. It could easily have been a simple friendly gesture, or it could have been something a little more sinister. He had seen that kind of thing before, and his father, Noland, had taught him about it. He played along, for now."Well, at least if we total all of this we have enough food to feed a baby dragon for a good little while, plus a blanket. I realise it's not helpless, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to help it." Edited July 17, 2012 by Flipout6
Sherentine
Savantra turned her her head slightly, noticing the arrival of a new customer a few tables over. He too had a baby dragon with him, it seemed. Savantra looked back at her plate for a moment. She knew something was wrong about this though. So that other stone really was another dragon egg.. She casually got off the bar stool and slowly made her way over to the dwarf, her arms crossed lazily. She came to the chair on the opposite end of the table and leant her palm on it. "So there's a new dragon in town." Her eyes made contact with the dwarf's. "It seems like news of what that Eragon lad said in the Ancient Tongue really was true. Dwarves and Urgals are among the Elven and Human Riders now."
BaldurAnthology
Byron blew a smoke ring. "So it seems, lass. Allow me tae introduce mahself. Byron Thunderbeard, Alchemist, Blacksmith, Potion maker, and Owner of this inn. At yer service." He stroked Ornthrond's scales, who hummed contentedly. "Ah came from a land across the sea, and got told tae teach my potion making and herbalist skills to those who need non magic remedies fer their ailments." He takes another puff on his pipe. "How can Ah help ye lass?"
tokyobiohazard
Cecilia looked down at the dragon, I suppose people are all eager to get in the good graces of a Rider. Now I know how Eragon felt. Let me show you the only time I saw them... She presented Koralina with her only memory of Eragon and Saphira. It was from quite far off, and she'd never even spoken to him, but the memory had a very special place in her heart. Cecilia stabbed a painless soldier through the chest with her sword and watched him fall to the ground, lifeless. Another three clamored at her from behind. She spun on the balls of her feet, her long mail shirt twirling around her with the sound of tinkling metal. As she sliced at one of the soldiers, her eyes flicked upward with elven speed toward the source of a large flash. She caught a glimpse of Saphira snaking through the sky and loosing a stream of fire from her maw while spinning through the air. Cecilia had thought that Saphira's blue scales glittered before, but Cecilia now saw the dragon's scales as they were meant to be seen, bathed in a halo of flames that sent brilliant, dazzling reflections in every direction. The sight heartened Cecilia, and she became invigorated with a renewed bout of fighting spirit, killing any enemies that dared come her way and even saving a handful of Varden soldiers later in the day. "I'm sure that all these crowns are more than enough to feed Koralina for at least a month, maybe more. That's her name, by the way. Koralina." She paused and looked at the shopkeeper, thanking him as he brought out a thick red blanket. "But something tells me that this store doesn't sell meats. It would be better spent at a butcher shop." Sherentine
Savantra smiled, the words of her plan formulating in her head. "I was browsing your wares not that long ago actually. I noticed in the evening that a ragtag group of bandits had snuck off with what appeared to be a bag of some sort. Haven't you noticed the lack of a certain... thing from your storage?" Savantra waved the smoke ring from her face. "I might be able to tell you more about these outlaws, if you're interested in getting back what's yours." AurianaValoria1
Koralina was positively elated with Cecilia's memory, unable to keep this excitement from spilling into her Rider's mind. She couldn't care less about Eragon... ...but Saphira? Now that was interesting. She cooed and hummed at the sparkling blue dragon, knowing that she herself would look even more dazzling someday. And the sights and sounds of the battle made her ever more joyful... She couldn't say anything, only convey these very raw feelings back to Cecilia. The violet dragon hummed louder, obviously impatient for her own gorgeous and sufficiently bloody future.
