Drevan80
I have a very strange problem. I can go into the Bee & Barb and go out again but if I sleep there I can't exit Bee and Barb and Riften gets inaccessible (Riften CTDs when trying to enter the city through the maindoor) I can get to all the interior cells in Riften without CTDs with console command "coc" but I can never "go out" to the city of Riften. Bee and Barb is the only Inn that do this all outer Inns work as they should. Is there a known mod that can do this kind of thing to Riften? jjb54
1st - Did you talk to the one dude upon first entering Riften?... He's the one that acts rough and asks why you are here.... If you avoided him, this could be the problem. For some reason it is HIT & MISS, if you avoid him and or cut the dialog short ... the game does NOT allow you to move forward in any / some / or all quests. 2nd - Do you have any mods that change:... Riften Physically?... Change any characters / NPC's?... Add's characters that need to be tweaked by having other mods?
Drevan80
1:st The bully is kinda hard to miss and I think I went through everything he says. 2:nd The only mod I use that affects riften directly is JK's Skyrim, Dawn of Skyrim and the patch to make those two mods play nice with each other, Holidays not sure if Holidays affects Riften much. I also use Skyrim 3D and Organic leaves in Riften And Skyland textures for Riften and Noble Skyrim texture pack (Not in the same playthrough though). For the NPC's I use Bijin mesh and textures (ie. Mjoll and Maven Blackbriar etc.) and more Draconic Argonians and the mod "eyes of beauty" But as I said if I don't sleep or wait in Bee and Barb I can exit without any problems and Riften will still be accessible with normal means. Okay, here is what I would do, IF it were me. If possible* , turn off all MODS ( DLC's are not mods ) .... Then see if the problem is still there?... IF: YES. Then there is some corruption in your base game and you may need to start over. ... IF: NO. Then turn on 1 Mod at a time, and play the same way, until you've turned on the mod that is the problem. ..... DO NOT DISMISS ANY MODS. It could be even a mod that makes no " sense ". IF you have too many mods that have scripts, you might have to start a new game to figure it out. Been there done that a " few " times. Good Luck. Drevan80
I did all that and when Riften and Bee and Barb worked again I started a new character without adding, removing or changed anything in the mod loadorder and it work for days til I finished "The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" then Vilemyr inn and saving stopped working (CTD on trying to save (Not Quicksave) never tested Riften, after that. I got very angry and deleted all saves, unistalled all mods and my character and decide to start a new character and do the tedious step to reinstall and check my mods haven't got so far yet though.
