skyrim.ini almost empty

Hallo everyone,

 

 

I'm fairly new to this hole "modding thing" but since I thought myself capable I started modding pretty much on day one which was the day before yesterday BTW.

Now I'm experiencing some oddities but haven't quite figured them out.

Anyways I was wandering how much lines should be in my Skyrim.ini that is at the very least, since in mine there are only this:

I'd say that's not much...

Yours does seem to be missing several entire sections.

 

Are you sure you are looking at the right Skyrim.ini? The right one is located outside of the Steam folder - in your \users\your_username\documents\games\skyrim\ folder. And NOT in the steam folder.

 

You could try renaming the Skyrim.ini to something like Old_Skyrim.ini Then validating the game through steam - it will replace any corrupted files automatically - then a new Skyrim.ini will be created the next time you start the game (if you have made any changes they will NOT be included)

it seems to have work for as far as I can tell. Hope i'll notice IG changes (for the better)
