jordoz12
I just beat oblivion...again and am finaly, after 2 years tired of it for xbox and bought it for pc because my friend told me the mods gave you so much more replay value. Ive downloaded and unziped about a dozen mods from tis site in muliple places all over the bethesda softwares\oblivion and the \data directory but i cant get it to work. any ideas? And btw even though i havnt got to use them great job to most of the people who post mods on this site, they are really good and when you look at the sites that charge money they look even better! If you dont want to use the forums plz email me at [email protected] Thanks.
Shadowcran
1- have you clicked them on in the data files part of your Oblivion menu? 2- Some mods require to load before others. You might want to get a few mod tools that help you DL, organize, and fix load orders. At least you should get the Oblivion Mod Manager and The FCOMloader. 3- did you unzip the files into your Oblivion/data folder?
Orakel
Ye, I think you just didn't checked the boxes near the mods, when you launch oblivion go to datafiles and a list op mods will appear also your oblivion esm, check the boxes before the mods you like to work and press ok and play... bben46
If you are using Vista there is a security 'feature' that will prevent you from doing what you want to do called UAC. Quoted from the Oblivion Mods FAQ WIKI Using VISTA only: If you have downloaded and installed, and the mod is appearing in your Data Files List, but not in your game. Then you should reinstall Oblivion into a different directory instead of the default. Installing mods on a Windows Vista system is bit trickier than it is on Windows XP due to Vista's increased security. For best results, it is recommended to install Oblivion to a location other than the default C:\Program Files\ folder. Another location such as C:\Oblivion\ or D:\games\Oblivion\ will work better. This will avoid the file permission problems many users have experienced due to the increased security restrictions Vista places on the Program Files folder. Wiki entry on installing Oblivion in Vista: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Windows_Vista Other suggestions include running as Administrator and disabling UAC. jordoz12
I would make a new thread for this but that would be a waste so new topic i guess, I got all the mods wanted to work and now as im playing these roughly 1 inch all around blue dots keep popping up. They dont stay there or anything and its not my monitor, they just keep blinking on certain spots and only when i use mods do they show up? any similar problems? Shadowcran
sorry, I think the FCOM loader is packaged as FCOM helper. Sorry about that.
