TheRealBlackinator
Lately I've been having an issue with Vortex where disabling a mod doesn't disable its associated plugins. I'm not sure what is causing the issue, but I did recently enable profile management, and I wasn't having any issues here beforehand. I'm using Fallout 4 mods and the latest 0.6.15 Vortex. BigBizkit
Are you sure you have automatic deployment enabled (or, alternatively, you need to run a manual deployment after disabling mods)?
TheRealBlackinator
Are you sure you have automatic deployment enabled (or, alternatively, you need to run a manual deployment after disabling mods)?Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, automatic deployment is on (hardlink). I did try manually deploying in between enabling and disabling some mods, but still no change in the plugin states. BigBizkit
Are you sure the plugins that are not being disabled actually belong to the mods in question? Further, did they get placed in your data folder by installing the mods via Vortex. If, for example, you put the plugins in the data folder manually, then Vortex would not know that they belong to a given mod installed with Vortex. And is this happening to every plugin all the time? Further, did they get placed in your data folder by installing the mods via Vortex. If, for example, you put the plugins in the data folder manually, then Vortex would not know that they belong to a given mod installed with Vortex. And is this happening to every plugin all the time?Yes, all the mods were installed with Vortex, and I haven't manually moved any plugins to the data folder. Disabling all the mods I usually have enabled had no effect. The mods I normally have disabled (i.e. were disabled before this problem started to occur) behave just fine, in that their plugins appear in the plugin list with the mod enabled, and disappear with the mod disabled. Also, I noticed that the plugins refusing to disable or disappear from the list don't show their mod whilst that mod is disabled, when I double click on the plugin to show its properties. When I enable the mod, it then reappears in the properties. I've left a few screenshots to demonstrate this. I tried making a new profile to see if that would change anything, but I am getting the exact same behaviour.

rmm200
My claim is that there was a previous installation of EnhancedLighting.esp, which was set aside when you installed your mod. When you disable the mod, Vortex brings the old EnhancedLighting.esp back from the Vortex backup file. This is shown by no mod associated with the plugin.Purge all your mods from Vortex (One button - purge mods), then clean up your game directory. Delete all mods you find there. Especially look for EnhancedLighting.esp.Then "Deploy" from Vortex. That should give you a clean install.

I tried your suggestion; after purging I just deleted everything in the data folder that wasn't an official plugin file (e.g. Fallout4 and DLC files), then redeployed. Looks like everything is working as expected now!
