ThePunishingPunisher2
Hey everyone! So, I just got a new computer with some serious power and was hoping you guys can give me some links to some REALLY crazy game enhancement mods that cover everything from the ground your character walks on to the character it self. I want environment textures, character textures, npc textures (including all animals and enemies), sky textures, building/city textures, weapon textures, armor textures, and so on... I literally want to enhance everything :D. I would really appreciate it if someone could list me some if not all of the requests above. Thanks in advance

kevkiev
Always willing to help out a fellow Canucklehead. Your best bet may be to check out STEP, the Skyrim Total Enhancement Project. That's where I started (and it covers most of the stuff you mention) and then, as I went along, noticed more stuff I wanted to change and usually found a good mod to address my current whim. I didn't use a lot of the gameplay recommendations (just personal preference) but, for visual enhancement mods it was a godsend. For some specific recommendations, feel free to check out my post in this thread. I really can't say enough about the snow/caves/rocks retexture pack I link in there - I use the highest resolution versions and they're just awesome. In addition to the stuff in STEP (my STEP is wildly outdated so I'm not sure what's even in it anymore), you might want to check out CaBal120's recent armor retextures. They're really awesome stuff - I was a big fan of his in FONV and, thank the Divines, it looks like he's come over to Skyrim. This is a fantastic overhaul of all things Daedric. Though, for the female armour, THis is a really nice touch. Oh, and I forgot to mention Claralux in the post I linked (dunno how :wallbash:). I've read that a lot of peeps were having problems with V3, and I'm not sure if that's legit or not but I'm happy enough with V2a to stick with it. This is an absolutely stunning face makeover for Mjoll. (I prefer the dark-hair version) And this is my fave Aela makeover (just load it after any other NPC type esps) - lol, just noticed the latest version is 1.7 and I'm still on 1.4. If you're not into the apachii hair type mods (but search that word to check it out), this is a fantastic improvement to vanilla hair. I think it's mentioned in STEP, but if you want to increase your field of view to take in more of the luscious environment, make the following tweak to your ini file: fdefaultfov=90 (i.e. insert that line under the [General] heading) There are other ini tweaks too, to increase the distance you can see light and stuff. Just google something like "syrim ini tweaks" and you should be able to waste some good time getting up to speed on that scene. (Personally, though, I'd be careful. For example, I've heard awful things about how changing UGrid settings can eventually #$@! up your game. I'm a perpetual noob, so maybe that's out to lunch but I'm just rather cautious with my ini tweaks) Anyways, hopefully that'll get you started down the road to making your shiny new rig sweat a little.

Staind716
Another recommendation for STEP. And if you want a total graphics overhaul browse through some ENB mods. Not recommending ours in particular but ENB in general.
