Malathyne Posted January 10, 2019 Share Posted January 10, 2019 i love x6, but it really bugs me that you only get access to him as a companion towards the end of the game. he's the only faction companion who's like that, too. what gives, bethesda? well, okay — while i disagree with it from a design standpoint, i can understand the in-world logic, as by the time you get him, you've been officially named to be the next director. having the benefit of a personal courser to escort you at that point makes sense. but why can't we just say that shaun assigns x6 to aid the sole survivor? he's been involved with shaun's long-term game already (see: shaun sending him to pick up s9 from kellogg), so i think it's plausible to say shaun makes that decision. i think the best point to change it to would be after completing the quest mankind redefined, aka the one where you deal with libertalia — seems easiest from a modding standpoint, too? anyhow, lore rambling aside... i haven't seen any mods that change this — i've looked into changing it myself, but the CK never cooperates for me (always crashing upon launch), and i can't make heads or tails of what to do in fo4edit... would anyone be interested in making this?
