noldyb
OKAY! so here's my problem. THE SCENARIO: i have skyrim through steam, so the whole game is found in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim and nexus mod manager requires it to be in C:\Program Files\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim the mods only work if they are installed in the steam folder. iv'e gone into the nexus manager gone to settings and changed the "destination folder" or where to find the games folder, to find it in the steam folder. then i hit okay it seems to work but when i go back, its back to the wrong one. THE QUESTION: is there a way to launch skyrim and bypass steam so it just runs through C:\Program Files\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim? - OR is there a full-proof way i can set the nmm to install the mods in the steam folder? (I have tried clicking start skyrim, the button, inside the nmm interface) THE REASON: not only is it easier to manage mods, but i have a rogue mod that makes the characters hands and feet disappear, and hat i think and it would be a hell of a lot easier to un-check things then go through and mutually uninstall them. plus with nmm its usually installed right, manually you can screw it up. thanks in advance -Arnold *just remembered i can use the data files section of the launcher to check and un-check things, this is still a problem but i can more easily avoid it now.* Edited July 16, 2012 by noldyb
