Wakka Wakka
I was meesing around with the console commands when I noticed a few things that are wrong with the sexchange script 1. It crashes the game if you use it on yourself or an NPC in the same area as you. 2. In order for it to work you must select an NPC, go to another place (inside a building for example), use the command, save, and reload. 3. It only changes the body, voice, and items not the face. Has this been fixed by a mod or patch?
Jntk
i don't think so. it crash because how it changes scripts and other stuff , i think. (scripting is not my strong point).

Has this been fixed by a mod or patch? Can't be fixed by any mod or patch since it is a hard coded console function which was there solely for use in debugging. I would assume it's there so that they could test both genders of dialogue or worn equipment within 1 session of running the game, instead of exiting out, making changes, going back in or creating several more test NPCs just for one test. It was never meant to have any practical use, and was probably as a way of getting around all the issues with showracemenu for tests with PC gender in relation to some dialogues. You can use it on yourself, it just usually crashes if you have too much loaded when you do it. There is another way to do it to NPCs which doesn't require saving/reloading, but comes with it's own issues. If you select an NPC, move to a different area, do sexchange then resurrect right after, you can bo back to that cell without the game crashing. All the other issues however remain the same. It only changes the body because there are different meshes. It only changes the voice if those same lines exist for the other gender, otherwise it is either silent or is unchanged. Face and hair are unchanged since that is stored with the base NPC. It was never meant to have any practical use,
Jntk
i would say the only way to fix it is either rewrite the game system or get a uber super computer xP
