Draxiss
Note: I was considering whether or not I should even post this, since it'd be pretty difficult to do, but then I realized, "Hey, it might happen. If I'm going to suggest something, I might as well suggest the most audacious thing I can, and see how other people take it. After all, the worst thing that can happen is people can say 'no.' Who knows? Maybe there's people out there who would want to see the same thing I do, and are willing to put in effort towards it . . ." Skyrim is fun. The world of Tamriel is fun. The series in general has been pretty amazing. Great introduction, eh? However, I'd love to see a completely new world, complete with its own lore, quests, races, system tweaks, supernatural beings, etc. I know that I've seen groups planning on making other, well established worlds, but I'd love to see, just once, a world formed from scratch. I understand that it would require a huge collaboration of development, not just with mod-making, but with creating the basic concept of the world and working up from there. It'd be a huge, lengthy undertaking, and would require the participation of many talented people working as a team. However, have you ever played through the game, and thought, "I wish I could create my own world [or implement certain aspect thereof] with these kinds of graphics, this level of complexity, this much general coolness[/]?" If there's something you've wanted to change or add about the game, but is perhaps not lore-friendly, or perhaps is so completely different it should have its own world, then this is the type of mod for you to help develop. This would be the type of super-mod where modders could go wild (in a calm, controlled, organized, and well-communicated manner) with what they'd want to implement. I had lots of great and convincing things to say, but I forgot them before I reached the computer, I've had this posting window open for a while, and I really wanted to get the suggestion out there, so . . .It basically boils down to: if enough people want to see a new world with elements of their ideas formed into it, then it'd be great to actually form a team to do it! Oh, wait I remember one thing I was going to write. I'm thinking about this in particular in conjunction with Skyrim Online, when it is fleshed out and all pretty-like, so that the world could be designed with the possibility of multiplayer in mind.
