Plasma Rifles Awesomefied Issue

Browse to the Steam installation folder for the Steam installation you would like to move (C:\Program Files\Steam by default).

Delete all of the files and folders except the SteamApps & Userdata folders and Steam.exe

Cut and paste the whole Steam folder to the new location, for example: D:\Games\Steam\

This to me sounds like I can move my folder, instead of having to start over on a new installation at the new destination.

I tried the AI off -then on thing. It still doesn't work with the PipBoy 2500, but it DOES work with Plasma Packin' ED-E now, which is already a big improvement, so thanks a lot! Any idea how I might get it to work with the PipBoy mod, or would that straight up require that someone wrote a compatibility patch for the two?

Readius causes the exact same issue, just wish I knew why.

It's been a while since I had occasion to look over the Steam instructions (which is why I link to it instead of copying it's text; because it can change over time). Do not take only part of a set of instructions and treat the rest as unnecessary. The full instructions (at this moment) read:

  1. Exit the Steam client application.
  2. Browse to the Steam installation folder for the Steam installation you would like to move (C:\Program Files\Steam by default).
  3. Delete all of the files and folders except the SteamApps & Userdata folders and Steam.exe
  4. Cut and paste the whole Steam folder to the new location, for example: D:\Games\Steam\
  5. Launch Steam and log into your account.

Steam will briefly update and then you will be logged into your account. For installed games, verify your game cache files and you will be ready to play.

In the part I highlighted, Steam is updating the registry. And verifying local files is ensuring you have all the vanilla assets and the default INI file. (You should run the FalloutNVLauncher once from the new location so it updates your "User" folder INI files.) But it is best to follow the advice to have a backup of your original folder somewhere just in case (assuming you have available disk space)

Sorry: why the Pipboy mods are causing a problem with the Plasma Rifle+ is a mystery to me. I would load the Pipboy and Awesomefied mods (and their master files) into FNVEdit and see where they conflict or overwrite the weapon. From that point you can create your own compatibility patch following the article I linked in post #8. You only need to chose which mod's record you need to "win". Might take some trial and error, but as your "patch" will be a "new file", there will not be any long term effects until you save game with the resulting patch file implemented..
