Vortex AddIns.xml error

When enabling more than 2 of any mods ( Natural Bodies All In One 3_0 , Your_Personal_Castle_v021 , The Wardens Women - DAO TWW (Final Version) 1.30 , Lore-Friendly Epilogue Rewrite 1.0 )

It comes up with an error, stating Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open 'C:\Users\Shane\Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\Settings\AddIns.xml'

I have checked the file and it already has an AddIns.xml file in the location.

For the first two mods of any in said list, it is fine and deploys the mods after asking for admin perms to do so, but upon trying to load a third it comes up with said error.

Hello Thandal,

Thanks for all your help on this issue!

I have downloaded DAO ModManager but it is not working on my GoG version of the game :sad: :confused:

I seem to have read a few others searching for a solution to this issue. (Getting honestly muddled because I am reading so many forums searching for the solution! But I just read that issue again in two GoG forum posts). No solutions specific to this....

especially the 'which folder' question. ... as in which folder to I put DAO ModManager in?

Would you be so kind as to direct me to a thread in Nexus where this topic is resolved?

I am deeply grateful!

!Cheers!

@ladaienai;

Having a GOG (or Steam, or Origin, or retail disc) install doesn't really matter, as long as you have a clear understanding of the folder structure so you can tell DAMM where things are or go.

You can put DAMM in any folder that ISN'T directly related to your game. Then put the (extracted as necessary) mods you want it to manage (".dazip" and ".override" file types) in some other folder. (Again, NOT related to your game. I use a subfolder of the one where I placed DAMM.) Then edit the Paths in the DAMM configuration to point to all the appropriate ones.

Here's a pic of my setup:

Hope that helps!

@ladaienai; Separate topics:

1. You have read this article, right? Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies.

2. You don't use DAMM to manage mods that you just drop in your "\override" folder, like ".mor" (NPC appearance) mods.

3. For Character Creator (CC) appearance mods, use Terra Ex's utility program "CharGenMorph Compiler". (Read and heed his instructions and the included usage guide.)
