strawbqwerty
I have a building that I can load up in creation kit. It is though a exterior only building. When you zoom into the building there is nothing. Is there a way to create the interior walls for the building?
thumbincubation
Your best/easiest bet would be to put a load door on it, then build the inside in an interior cell. Pull the exterior model into the interior cell, long enough to lay the floor down, so your interior is roughly the same size/shape as the exterior. Then delete it and just work on choosing what interior floors, walls, ceilings, etc., you want. When you're done, put the same load door on the inside and connect them via the teleport tab in the door form.
strawbqwerty
Thanks for the reply. No starting with the shallow end of the modding pool for me. Straight of the high dive into the deep end. Would like to learn about this stuff though. Of to find some walls etc.
thumbincubation
 https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Category:Getting_Started and https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Bethesda_Tutorial_Layout_Part_1 (with the subsequent parts) These are the tutorials that helped me quite a bit, in the beginning. There are some good videos out there on youtube, also (Darkfox127 and others) but I liked being able to keep looking at them as I worked. There is a link to the tutorial hub, on each page, which will list more job specific tutorials. You can also find even more, using the search box in the top right of the page. Type in a partial, like "lighting" or something, and it will bring up what it has. This tutorial will use the ancient nord ruins pieces, but you can substitute just about any set you like the look of. You may have trouble making two items from different sets fit together, but there are always columns and stuff, that can be used as fillers. For a home build, look at the exterior mesh and think where the home would belong. If it looks like Whiterun, then scroll down in the Static > Architecture subset and find the Whiterun architecture. Within each city style, you will see a bunch of different tiers of sets, representing the shacks, the more affluent homes, the castles or jarl's houses, the jails, etc. Important: Keep your Snap To Grid and Snap To Angle set. That way, they will line up properly. You can turn them off to tweak things, if you like, afterward. Save regularly. CK loves to wait until you're almost done, then crash. If you're working on an interior space, you can select an object and hit the 1 button, twice, to hide it. It's not gone, just hidden, so you can work without accidentally moving it. You can do multiples as well, by holding control while you select. If the item(s) remain selected, you can hit 1 a third time, to bring them back into view. Or, you can select nothing and hit ALT + 1 to bring them all back. You can also hit f5 and let the entire view refresh. If you forget, don't worry. They'll still be there, and will reappear next time you load the cell. Hope some of this helps.
strawbqwerty
Thanks again for your reply.I have followed a guide to build a simple farm house, so know some of the creation kit, not a lot but some stuff. Getting the feel of moving objects around in the object window takes a bit of time.
