Missing body

:wallbash: Is there a way of determining what mesh is missing when you get a person without a body. I've probably done this to myself so I'm trying to recover without a reinstall of the game and all the patches etc.

:thanks:

are you using a body replacer? if your using exeams underwear or nude they should come with a OMOD ( requires Oblivion Mod Manager) because if you did a manual there is a chance you missed a mesh out from the meshes folder

There is an exnem's withoud using omod and i have that one so it doesn't has to be the problem, you just miss some meshes, reinstall the mod and then come back here...

I was trying to install FCOM Convergence when this occured. Going through all the required mods for this would be long. The FCOM when added tops the game from even starting when activated. Any ideas? :thanks:

know it sounds daft as you know FCOM more then me but don't you need to have thee Required Mods in order for that mod to work? if you just tried it on its own then its not going to work

No it doesn't sound daft and I don't know FCOM well myself but that was what I was doing when all my problems started. Now when I disable FCOM Omod the bodies are missing. I'm beginning to think I need to reinstall but will wait for any help. Thanks again :thanks:

i think you can only do a reinstall in the end but lets just see what other people think ( like you said)

good luck

Missing body parts are usually caused by a clothing or armor mod. The clothing replaces the body part it covers. So if the mesh called for by the clothing mod is not found, the body part does not exist in the game.

This problem usually does not call for a reinstall of anything except the mod that has the clothing/armor. When you removed the mod, the clothing mesh was probably included in that.

A good way to see what the mssing meshes are.... As long as its attached to an NPC/Creature that is, is like this:

Find where the missing mesh is "Ie on a bandit or something" open console, click on the bandit, type "kill" and then open the bandits inventory, the mesh tahts missing should be in bandits list of clothes "for a missing clothes mesh" or one of his weapons etc, then Google the name of the item. and see what mod its from...

Has worked for me countless times
