rcavanah
Hey guys, So, I wanted to enchant my dual daggers and my bow (primarily for the purposes of renaming them, and placing a 1-point enchantment power difference on my identical daggers to prevent them from combining and disappearing in the fav menu). I basically just wanted to do those things without actually using an overpowered enchantment and dealing with the crazy glow and damage effects on enemies... I know there's a mod to remove the glow, but it removes the glow from ALL enchanted items, which I don't want. Makes it harder to spot enchanted items in dungeons. Anyway, point is, I went with the Huntsman's Prowess enchant from the Poacher's Axe. It has no glow, and does a tiny amount of extra damage to animals. However, now there's an annoying "____ resisted Huntsman's Prowess" message every single time I hit a non-animal. Can this be removed? That... would be... great. Would it not be easier to duplicate and rename the weapon in the CK to stop the daggers combining in the fav menu?
rcavanah
Would it not be easier to duplicate and rename the weapon in the CK to stop the daggers combining in the fav menu? I would, but I know nothing about the CK...And actually, simply renaming them but leaving the stats identical still causes them to combine. They have to have some stat difference, and they're already maxed out at the smithy. So if I can do that and change the damage by one point in the CK, I guess I might mess around with it... Any help would be appreciated! :)
David Brasher
Items with different FormIDs do not stack in inventory. If you made two weapons with different names but identical stats in the CK, you would not have problems with them in your favorites menu.

If you made two weapons with different names but identical stats in the CK, you would not have problems with them in your favorites menu. It's not strictly stacking, as in creating a quantity of two... What happened was, I hotkeyed it, switched to the other, then the original disappeared from the favorites list, and when I went to re-add it from the inventory menu, there were still two separate entries but the name had become the same for both of them. rcavanah
OK, for the record, I figured out a solution: I downloaded the CK, messed around for a while, found the enchant effect and removed the visuals (apparently it had some on-hit visuals I hadn't seen yet), and just went ahead and removed the resistance check and the animals-only quality. Now it does 1 extra point of damage, 2 on the off-hand dagger. They don't combine, and there's no resistance message. Nice non-obvious enchant.
