I'm trying to import my first armour model into the Creation Kit but between nifSkope and the creation kit there is some sort of error causing the mesh to become distorted as you can see in this image. http://i.imgur.com/soSyi.png

I've tried everything I can think of to get it working, but I am quite inexperienced with the creation kit and I have had no results so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say that could be due to it being skinned wrong. Had this issue before, but can't remember how I fixed it. Everything was being pretty buggy so I did a fresh install of 3ds max and it's export plugin. Can't guarantee if that was the cause of the issue though. Sorry if I can't be of more help.

Did you add a "smooth" modifier when you exported to make sure the program didn't alter verts when you skinned/exported?

Maybe it's a weight problem, try it in game, with the weight slider being at minimum, maximum, and in-between. If it looks ok at min and/or max and not in between, that's the problem. (I don't know what weight does the CK use for its rendering)
