DSR Install Help Please

As noted above, trying to get Dual Sheath Redux installed as a tool but it just won't cooperate with me. I've read the FAQ and the whole 2 or 3 topics already posted about this and I've done everything they say, but to no avail.

Any help here would be appreciated, here is what I have put in as of now.

Target:

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_201\bin\java.exe

Command Line:

-jar "C:\Users\chrsd\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrim\mods\Dual Sheath Redux-34155-1-7-3.1\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch\Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar"

Start In:

C:\Users\chrsd\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrim\mods

I used to have the Start In line exactly the same as the Command Line, (minus the -jar, quotes, and .jar obviously), but that did nothing for me either. All I get right now is a cmd box that pops up for half a second or less then disappears.

Thanks in advance for any advice for helping me get this fixed.

P.S. What is the Run in Shell option for? Example Please? Just for curiosities sake.

Hi,

I think your command line is off. DSR will put the patcher in "Skyrim\Data\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch\Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar"

This configuration works fine for me:

Well, it actually runs, but now it says "This patcher requires the following mods, please add them to your load order: Dual Seath Redux.esp" which i have installed and enabled. Then after I click ok it says "The application couldn't open the save file output stream. Your settings were not saved".

I also now have all my lines exactly as yours is.

Okay, after taking a day break from this mess and just playing without DSR, decided to try and fix it again because every time I load up the game it pops up a message saying DSR not activated blah blah blah.

So, after rereading the old posts about this matter and going over everything, I finally got it fixed. So for anyone who wants a straight answer on what you have to do to get it working, this is what I have.

Target:

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_201\bin\java.exe

( Java Executable)

Command Line:

-jar "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch\Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar"

( DSR Patch Executable)

Start In:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch

( Folder that DSR Patch Executable is in)

Run in shell: Off

Also in case anyone wants to know, idk if it matters or not, but I was using NMM, imported my mods, left the files where they were just deleted them in NMM, and then deleted NMM. If this is a situation like what you did and you can't get DSR added as a tool, this should work for you.

Thank you so much for posting what ended up working for you ive spent way to many hours trying to get this to work myself after switching to vortex from NMM with nothing to show for it.

Seriously Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For me, I didn't even need to use that long command line. -jar SUM.jar for the command line worked for me (since I'm using SUM to patch both DSR and ASIS). Seems like as long as the "start in" line leads to your patcher and the "target" leads to your java executable it will work even if your command line is super short like mine.
