I have some help files for people who are new to using mods. They include how to download, unzip and install mods. 7-zip is what I use in my examples. If you are interested click on the highlighted text below to be take to the site where they are located.

Yeah, the problem is with most guides I've read, I don't understand half of what you people say. >.<

You say you don't understand what we say in the guides. Did you look at my help files? If so, what didn't you understand? I have tried to make them as free of computer jargon as I can just for the reason you gave. It would help me to improve them if you can tell me what is wrong with them. If you don't want to post on the forum, send me PM (personal message)

Thanks

Okay, I read it, but I use Windows Vista; Not XP. >.<

Look in Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\data

In XP the default is C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data

In vista the default is similar, BUT if you want it to work better DON'T install it to the default (that might be part of your problem) Install to a different directory and not the Program Files directory. Most use C:\Games\Oblivion when it installs, it puts in the data folder in the Oblivion folder. Putting anything in the program files folder in Vista automatically 'protects' it from changes (mods) with UAC which will not allow your mods to work unless you go in and change the protection on that folder. - Its easier just to reinstall it to another folder than to mess with the UAC.
