Amarysauce
Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but I haven't been able to find it. I want to replace the default replacement hairstyles included in Haute Coiffure with different ones. I know how to extract a BSA, but I'm unsure of how to repack it or if there's a way to simply edit it without extracting and repacking. The only instructions I can find for doing this were "Just extract the bsa with B.A.E. and replace the hair mesh with what you like. You will have to change the shader alpha settings in Nifskope, usually the ones I use in most of the hair meshes I'm using will work. Start at 4844/128 or 4333/128 and see what looks good. Regenerate the npcs in the CK with Ctrl-F4." I also couldn't work out where this shader alpha setting was. Would anyone be able to explain the process a little more clearly, please? :)
SeraphimKensai
Rather than repack it, if you keep your files loose in the respective data folder subfolders they will take precedence over the files in the BSA file. I wouldn't personally repack it via archive.exe unless the mod author has given you permission to upload your "patch" to their work and you intend to upload it for others to use. Amarysauce
On the mod page, the author specifically says not to extract the BSA =\ I tried leaving something loose as a replacer anyway, but it didn't work...
