Turinu
I've made a pair of swords that compliment each other in design. I can convert them into .blend files, but that's about as far as I can go. So for this request, I'd like to ask for a lot of assistance in getting them into the game. What I'm asking for here is a couple of things, if possible. 1. UV Mapping and Converting - I've attempted this before, but the results come out poor. I'd love to be able to texture the weapons, but I can't do it without them being properly UV Mapped. So the first part of the request would be to do a proper UV Map for the weapon, and then convert it all into a NIF that properly displays said texture. 2. Skyrim Ready - I'd like the models to be converted, put through NIFSkope, everything that needs to be done to have the weapons fully functional in game. If possible, have the texture created from the UV Mapping in the first part of the request applied to the weapon; that way I can just open up the DDS file in Photoshop and start working on a texture after everything else is done. Here's a rendering of the swords I made, so you can see what they look like if you have some interest. These were made in Sketchup and rendered in VRay. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e237/TurinuZ/crestarmoryswordsandscabbards.png Anyone who does do the mod for me can feel free to upload it as the author after I finish the textures, so long as they throw some credit my way. Also, I wouldn't mind attempting to design a weapon for anyone who does take on this request, so long as it isn't too complex. P: Hope to eventually make more weapons of similar design and put them all into one weapon pack, completely with unique ores for forging and everything. Until then though, just getting the weapons mod-ready would be fantastic! For anyone who does decide to work on this for me, I'll send them the necessary files for starting the request via PM. Urwy
So let me get this straight: You're asking someone to UV-map those blades for you, and send the whole package back to you. (uv-maps and unwrapped model)When the texturing is done you'll send it back to, lets say, me. and i am to set it up in nifskope. Or does it include the CK as well? I'm asking this because that's pretty much my own workflow, minus the modelling.I use blender myself, so it shouldnt be too much work to unwrap those models, export a PNG or DDS with the UV's and send them back to you =)I usually unwrap a weapon in sections: Blade, Hilt, grip and if present; the scabbard. So that's 4 seperate UV's. Turinu
We could do it that way if you wanted. And yeah, it includes the CK as well; I was never able to wrap my head around that thing, despite how much I wanted to ~_~. The way I was thinking of doing it was saving the texturing via the UV Maps for after everything else was done, that way there would only be a need to send it back and forth once instead of twice. Either way is good for me though; whichever would work best for you, if you decide to take up the request.

Then you'll get the entire package back :)However, there's a chance that the weapons will need some tweaking in nifskope after you've textured them.(glossyness, correct cubemaps, etc)
Turinu
Urk... I don't really know how to do all that NIFSkope stuff (Though I really do need to learn; most of it flies right over my head, though, D: ). Maybe it would be better doing it your way, to ensure everything is done correctly, XD. Anyways, aside from all that, after I make a couple tweaks to the weapon models I'll send them your way via PM. Thanks for taking up the request!

You can just send me the texture files and presto!
