GECK Crashes when importing meshes

Hello, I've been a user of mods for some time , even messed around with a few amateur tricks in GECK and Nifskope. Been a few weeks now and I've been looking for a New Vegas Business suit with like a Kevlar vest of some sort over it. Couldn't find it so I set out to make one. I've worked on this mesh for hours throughout the week to no avail. :facepalm: Once I think I have it, I import it to GECK then it CTD. So I came here and I'm curious if someone is willing to download the lil mesh there and perhaps fix what I've been doing wrong or even point me to the particular mod i'm looking for. I appreciate any and all help/advice.

You can try setting the mesh filepath in FNVEdit to see if it works in-game. I've had to do that myself with a mesh or two.

 

Okay, may try that if I work up the courage to attempt this again. :(

Compare the nitristrips for the vest to the one for the suit.

NV doesn't use nitexturingproperty so far as I know. It uses bsshaderpplightingproperty.

Also your vest doesn't have any dismemberskininstance

I don't know if either or both of these would cause a crash but that's where I'd start.
