Why does the screen go black using VATS?

I thought I had this one beat since using fook2. Now it's back, there must be a way to fix this right? heres the load order and cpu stuff.

vcard is set to 500 mhz gpu and 500 mhz memory speeds, 512 mb of ddr2.

 

Thats about it really, modest system. I have had times where I did'nt have this black screen thing for months so maybe it's game related?

I always figured this as a defect when running Fallout3 on an inferior maching (memory-related). I've found this topic on several forum all suggesting various things that doesn't seem to help *everybody* (un-official patches etc.).

Fun thing is, I think I recall my black screen started appearing more often when I long later installed DLC's... (Impressive list of patches btw.).

Anyhow :smile: If I only figured out how to use the medialibrary I'd share some pic's of my fix to the infamous Black Screen in VATS... Ah, attached!
It's simple and requires no installation :wink:
When targetting in VATS and getting a black screen with a glowing highlighted enemy bodypart (1), simply press and hold V (your VATS-key) and the screen zooms out (2), releasing it zooms back to the target and the black screen is gone (3)!

If this solution helps anyone besides me, or not, I'd appreciate some feedback!!
