Blaster391
I have been doing some rather extreme Landscaping in the Tamriel worldspace, I looks fine in the editor, but enter the game and I get this: http://i.imgur.com/AINjAl.jpg It can be walked through and does not affect anything in anyway apart from looking ugly View from inside: http://i.imgur.com/CzHy0l.jpg I assume it is something to do with LOD possibly, but if anyone has encountered similar and knows how to fix it I would be very grateful. flobalob
The fact that the terrain LOD exists permanently just below the main heightmap is the reason that you can't lower terrain EVER. This has been a "feature" since the days of TES4-Oblivion and was the same in Fallout3 & New Vegas as well. The only posible fix would be to re-generate the LOD, which is not practical as it's :-a) Broken in Skyrim (as it pertains to the main worldspace anyway)b) Is a very complicated subject that requires a tutorialc) Even if not broken it would take a very, VERY long time to generate (weeks not hours). BTW, it looks like you have used too many textures in one of the cells, I believe that you can only, reliably, use 6 textures per quad. TheGreenLion
Like flobalob said, the black ground texture comes from having more than 6 types of terrain texture. To check a cells texture count make sure you're in landscaping mode, select the render window and hit I as in Info and that will bring up a list of the textures used for each quadrant in the current cell. From there you can replace or delete those textures.
Blaster391
Ok, looks like my headquarters is about to get a lot taller. Thanks for telling me about my texture problem as well! Kudos for you both :D
