CandymAnse
Hi, I have a problem. When I try to launch Skyrim, it crashes almost immediatly, making occur a general windows error.- Since the last time I played it I haven't installed any new mod or patch- I tried to launch it without SKSE and without every mod I have, but still crashes the same way- I tried event to erase skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini files, but still crashes - Though, after the last time I played, I had to solve a BSOD problem (I used msconfig, chkdsk /r, hijackthis etc..), but I don't remember I touched any Skyrim or Steam file... I have windows XP sp3 Does someone have a solution? EDIT:Anyway these are the error details, but i don't think they are useful AppName: tesv.exe AppVer: 1.6.89.0 ModName: d3d9.dllModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 00003135 Edited July 19, 2012 by CandymAnse

CandymAnse
if you have the same error code, maybe I found a solution (but I still have to play the game. I only launched it successfully and I closed it) I found this d3d9Generator in a discussion about Skyrim (It works even for Skyrim, not only for Fallout). Following the instructions, I created a d3d9.dll file and I placed in my Skyrim folder replacing the original d3d9.dll (I copyed the original in another folder for caution), and finally Skyrim started! http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34970 Now I'll play it and let'hope it doesn't crash in the while Edited July 20, 2012 by CandymAnse
