Poacher886
Hi, im quite new to modding and have a few questions about weapons...Im wanting to create a Longbow based on an existing bow in the game, but give it its armour piercing quality's as they historical used bodkin heads and were known for such. A few questions.. 1. Base damage is obvious, but effected by armour, but i see Critical damage is not, problem is, I see no info or stats on achieving a critical hit...indeed i didn't think there were critical hits in game?, how can a level 1 player with no perks get critical hits? 2. Off the back of the last question, what is the 'Critical % multi' stat for? 3. It would seem the best way to give it armour piercing quality's, is to allow it to ignore armour the same way as maces do....except i see no option for this either for the bows or the maces?? How is it done for maces then? Thanks for your help.
thumbincubation
Open up Dawnguard DLC and take a look at the enhanced crossbows. If I"m not mistaken, there should be a script that adds a perk.
Poacher886
Sorry, adds a perk for what?, but also, how do maces ignore armour, there is no option it seems?? Just to clarify, i thought Maces ignored armour without any perks...i thought that was the whole advantage to them? Rizalgar
Script add a perk through the bow, or alternatively, write a script that bypasses armor

thumbincubation
Sorry for the delay. You shouldn't have to write a new script. You should be able to apply the same script from the Dawnguard enhanced crossbows to your mace. Just note, in the crossbow form, where the script will have a little pencil icon and yours won't right away. You'll need to go into the script properties and activate what you want it to do. Easiest way is open up the one in the Dawnguard crossbow and copy the settings.
