Spatz82
I tried looking this up already but am not understanding it. FNIS says ERROR(57): Could not complete operation since a directory already exists in this path '..\..\meshes\actors\character\behaviors\idlebehavior.hkx'. What does this mean? Yes, that does exist, but I don't understand what it's trying to tell me. Could someone please help?
fore
This is not an FNIS error, this is an error raised by the Operating System. Usually these kind of errors come up when a user operates on the same files or folders from different applications. And most of the time is fixed by restarting windows. But it can also be the result of authorization issues caused by installing in C:\Program Files(x86). If this doesn't fix it you need to describe EXACTLY when this messages turns up, how you install, what you did to verify? And if you installed in "C:\Program Files(x86)". leonardo2
C:\user\user\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\SkyrimSE\Overwrite\meshes, then updata FNIS Behavior againYou need to do exactly that. 1. Delete the meshes subfolder in the Overwrite folder2. Re-launch the FNISBehavior.exe

NymraLL
I have the same problem. Fixes did not help. I am using MO2.I have 1 FNIS installation that I run on different profiles. Usually this is not an issue. But sometimes, I dont know what causes it, I get the error 57 (process canot access "FNISListCollect.txt") I check "File Redirection" when this happens.... When I uncheck File Redirection it works, but then of course I get other problems.... What a mess?!Any directions? (BTW: Restarting Windows did not help, deleting meshes or any other folder did not help, I run FNIS through MO and neither is installed in programs folder of windows) Edited August 26, 2020 by NymraLL
venomouspancake
I'm getting an error saying that i cant update my FNIS behavior because the process can't access a 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\meshes\animationsetdatasinglefile.txt' because it's used by another program. Please help. I had the same problem and I just managed to fix it. 1. Open up Skyrim and see which mod is disabled 2. close Skyrim then disable said mod and update FNIS. 3. Then reenable mod and update FNIS again. It worked for me. Edited December 5, 2020 by venomouspancake
