wats6831
Ok I was doing good until I got to the step where you install Bob's Armory. I'm unzipping the file in WinRAR and instead of placing the files in the proper folders, it's just creating a new one. SO I end up with a C:\Program Files\Bethesda Software\Obilivion\Data\Data....all bobs files etc.... It's screwing everything up bleh it's happening with everything. I think my RAR settings aren't right I may have to start over. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

wats6831
WEll looks like i have to start all over. This is *banned* I don't know why they can't package it into an .exe or something. I just spent 3+ hours and it's all out the window. There are so many damn mods to unzip with redundant paths that I can't even keep them straight. MrCooper2006
Dont copy it right out of the .rar - Instead I open my data folder, then just copy all relevant textures/meshes folders and .esp's into it from the .rar. Or just move them from the data/data folder into the just data folder..?
wats6831
yeah it's too far gone now. I have to start over with a fresh install of Oblivion. freakin awesome. It was unzipping the whole file structure, so it'd be /data/meshes/data/meshes/....files then every freakin mod had a folder of it's own in /data/modname/....all the .ESM and .ESP stupid. wats6831
Hopefully the .exe installers are putting them in the right spots.

You went through and did them all by hand? :wallbash:
StryderOfOblivion
You extracted it to the wrong place. If the WinRar file starts with a Data folder, extract it to Program Files/Bethesda/Oblivion Then hit yes to all and it will integrate all the files into the Data folder. And this thread should be in Mod Troubleshooting.
wats6831
Hi, thanks for the help on it. I'm doing it over now things are going better. My question now is: Do I need both the Unofficial Oblivion patch and the Unofficial SI patch? or just the SI patch? Thanks.
