russader
Okay this has got to be the dumbest question I have ever asked here, but I really need a conformation. I have been using Pinnacle Profiler to play oblivion on for a while now. I took a month break from playing and just modding, so no need to use it. I tried playing the other night and ended up getting a whole bunch of chiming sounds while playing. The chiming sounds were the sounds of hardware being connected and disconnected. Turns out when I play oblivion, my computer disconnects and reconnects USB devices. I was wondering if it could be Oblivion, or my USB controller on my MOBO going out and doen't show until under load? Has anyone else had hardware issues like this when playing Oblivion? RedRocketTM
I've had that problem on my older PC, causing my USB headset no not work as it should... But the only thing I found to avoid it was stop using it before I got a better PC. It's kinda strange as it doesn't seem to be common, but maybe your graphics card needs too much enegy, so the USB devices do have less and work unstable? Hell I dunno... ^^
MrCooper2006
What the...? Try running another game? See if the sounds are still there. Doubt its anything to do with specific mods rather the game itself. Or just try diabling the USBs while you play? Doesnt fix the problem but at least you could play in peace.
