bben46
I have some help files for people new to mods. Click on the highlighted text below to be taken to the site. http://s1.zetaboards.com/TheStormRavenLibrary/forum/256092/ Please start with a simple mod and not some huge total makeover like Oscuros Oblivion Overhaul. Actually I recommend playing without mods for a while just to get an idea of what you are doing on the PC.

Could I use excerpts from your help files, or at least reference your guides. They look very well done and are along the same instructional level I would like my guide to be. :thanks:
MrCooper2006
Good idea Thomas, the FCOM site is extremely helpful and everything. But its a sever pain to find your way around, and especially to find everything you need. A clear, simple guide with links to everything you need would be ideal. thomasv333
How do i apply the mods once I download them? Afer you have read a bit about mods here in the forums I would suggest downloading Oblivion Mod Manager, (OBMM). I am working on an Install Guide for setup a FCOM convergence game, this is probably WAY more involved process than you should get into at this time, until you know what it does to your game. If you are just starting to learn how to install mods then I would suggest downloading my "Install Guide" and checking out Intro section and (Section 5) of the guide for using OBMM. I personally don't recommend manually installing mods because you can easily loose track of what you are installing and uninstalling and this can damage your game if you don't know what you are doing. The guide I am writing is unfinished and it might seem overwhelming at first but I think that there is allot of good info in it & I'm trying to write it "beginner freindly" Welcome to modding your game, good luck, & have fun.

Yes after installing my FCOM setup twice I saw a real need for this guide, because what you say above is 100% correct. All the links are in the "Install Giude" file, anyone at this point should be able to "easly" (chuckles) I hope, set up a FCOM game from the guide. I'm still working on the using OBMM, Wrye Bash, basics sections, customizing the FCOM install and tweaking your game preformance sections. Plus lot of other little stuff. Like screen shots to visually illustrate some of the steps. Please check it out it's VERY long, but be needs to be for the amount of instructional detail that I have put into it. I am desperate for feed back as to how user friendly it is and if there are any critical instructional errors. :thanks:
