Shoujo
I notice a lot of new mods don't have tags. In all fairness, I only tag files I *want* to filter out so it may be the case that I just happen to dislike mods that don't get tagged by uploaders that often for whatever reason. While the tag voting system works to an extent, not all mod users will take the time to tag files they have no interest in and that means those mods clutter up the screen that much longer. Would it be much of a stretch/problem to require uploaders to tag their files? Thanks for the tag system by the way. Has done wonders for my Nexus experience :)
Awevalan
For the most part the modders choose how much or how little information they include with their mods and just how searchable it is. Some don't know about all of the ways or how to use them when it comes to things like tags. As a mod user you can tag files with applicable tags and that will help both you and later mod users when they go on the hunt for specific types of mods. Requiring something like tags isn't necessarily a bad idea but some prefer to just get their work out there and others don't necessarily know how to use their tools and some just don't look. All in all, the system works as it has for years. The mod author chooses what to say about the mod, what images to post if any, and what tags apply. We as mod users can tag the files and work to clear out that "untagged mods" section but I don't know if requiring it is entirely feasible.
