Vortex multiple instance startup fail

Go to your user (whatever your user name is in windows)/AppData/Roaming folder/ and delete the Vortex folder. You may need to set things to show hidden folders.

Apologies for the thread resurrection, however google and bing both pointed me here. I had the same exact problem as OP, however it occurred after a pagefile error + BSOD during game-play. I have not gone as far as reinstalling vortex, however the quoted advice above worked for me. At the same time, it nuked my vortex installation and mod-installs, meaning i have to basically start from scratch and reinstall mods. I am experimenting with the appdata folder in hopes to find which file is causing the error, and HOPEFULLY i can manually restore what is missing, i am attaching the LOG file which i think may be relevant; i also have a backup of my entire Appdata folder too and can zip it up for anyone who may be interested.

The good news is i was able to back-up my Vortex-downloads and F4SE folder, plus my mods are still installed on FO4, so i can at least export my settlements and custom Darlene before...well...starting over again for the 5th time in the last month. Something in the last few windows and vortex updates borked SOMETHING on my end.

As an aside; s*** began acting funky a few weeks ago after i deleted a thumbnail DB, and i am wondering if maybe the two are somehow related?

ETA: System specs: Ryzen 2700x, EVGA RTX2070 Black ( og non-super model) , Gskill Trident-Z RGB 3200Mhz@ CL14. ASrock X470 Taichi Extreme, dual Samsung 860 2.5 inch SSD + old school 2tb seagate that has somehow lasted 10 years.
