ermpz
i recently made a mashup of the telvanni robes that was originally just a personal edit that i decided to upload, and i called it finished, but as i was playing through some quests for neloth i ended up killing that one dunmer woman who had a heartstone strapped on her chest. so i wanted to make a variant of my armor that includes that, now i've managed to rig the actual harness that fits the heartstone (seen here) but i don't know how i go about adding a heartstone in that slot. i figured that the harness would include it automatically but it doesn't. so i did some googling and found out that the actual stone isn't a part of the harness, instead its a necklace that the characters wear that makes it look as if its part of the actual armor. i tried to equip this necklace on my character and it just ended up clipping through the body and didn't protrude out like its supposed to. so now i'm stuck and don't know how i can do this. i don't want it to be a separate thing like a necklace or whatever, i want it to be an actual part of the model, of the nif, and i don't have any idea how to do that. i'm a complete noob, only made 2 armor mashups and the limited info that i do know is just from trial and error. can someone help me here? i use outfit studio to make my armors, forgot to mention. maxarturo
Those kind of things are done in "Blender " or "3d Studio Max" (or any other 3d program, but keep in mind that it has to have a nif export capability) to make it one model and then you need NifSkope for attaching textures and nods and actually make it playable. maxarturo
Download "Blender", it's free and way easier than learning "3d Studio Max" and if i'm not wrong there are a bunch of tutorials online - plus there are some awesome tutorials and guides here in this forum just at the top of this page. Check in Skyrim tutorials: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/522532-skyrim-tutorials/ * You have to start from somewhere and is not that difficult as is sounds, just follow the steps, anyhow... what you are trying to do is quite easy.
