How to restore a Vanilla texture?

My question is:

 

How to restore a Vailla texture from a armor? For example from the Nightingale armor. Ive a lot nightingale re-textures, from Assassins Creed Re-texture to Phoenix. All are pretty cool but i actually think that the classic black normal one is the best.

How did you install the armor? If you used the Nexus Mod Manager, just go to mods and uninstall.

 

If you manually installed and there is no .esp you will need to delete the texture images from your Skyrim Data folder. Look in this path and delete the F and M folders. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\textures\armor\nightingale (assuming you did a default installation)

 

If you did Steam Workshop, you need to visit the mod's page and click on uninstall.

You can rename, move, or delete the texture file you don't like. That way it either won't be there, or it will be in a spot where the computer won't be able to find it. So then it will have to use the original texture that is packed in the original .bsa file, which is what you want.

 

If you are good with the CK and Nifskope, you can go see exactly what the name of the texture you don't like is. Otherwise, you might examine the files from a downloaded replacer mod that edits this armor to get the name. If that still doesn't work, you could try process of elimination and try renaming folders that you think contain the Nightingale armor texture until you find the right one.
