Hi, I thought about modding and I want to mod stormcloaks so that they'd be better like have them have steel weapons instead of some iron ones and higher skill and level, personally I like the Iron greatsword but for the stormcloaks how do I make it better? I mean I have 100 in smithing so what if I wanted it to be legendary, were do I go to only change the stats on the creation kit? I don't know anything about how to mod so please help me out, also last question how do I save the mod and put it into my game? I heard I need a plugin or something but I don't how nothing on how to do it please help out a new modder, and also I am looking forward and please help, I'd very much appreciate it.

That's very dense... Not sure I understood everything you wanted.

For the stormcloaks equipment, you need to find them in the creation kit (section Actors/Actor), go in their inventory tab and modify it.

To use your mod in the game, save it in your data folder, and check it in your data options (in the game loader) or in NMM or other mod manager.

Well yea ok but I can't find the stormcloaks soldiers in the creation kit, I typed in stormcloak but what comes up is stormcloak prisoners, what's wrong with it? Maybe I'm not looking in the right spot but I just don't know.

In the actor list, click on name, to sort by name, and scroll down, you should find a few (*hum*) stormcloak soldiers. You'll see that they use a few different sets of objects (for most of them CWSoldierSonsGear), they can be found under Items/LeveledItem. Edited by Gilead Maerlyn

Yeah, that's where you should look, but you're seeing only about a third of the stormcloak soldiers there is in the CK, because the filter (top left) lets you see only the actors with "stormcloak" in their Editor ID, whereas most of them have IDs without stormcloak in it. (that's why I advised you to look the name and not the ID)

On your screenshot, you can see the line with the titles of the columns (Editor ID | Form... | Count | etc...), clic on the one named "name" (the fifth), and all the actors will be sorted by name, which will make it easy for you to see all those who share the same name (in our case, Stormcloak Soldier).

And before that, clear you filter by deleting "stormcloak" that you wrote in it.
