Hello everyone this is my first post here on tesnexus so thanks for reading alreay !

I re-installed Oblivion last week (hadn't played in about a year except on the bland 360 version).

Now I found this wonderful site and got Martigen 3.0 omod..installed it and ran fine after I patched it to 3.1, now today I installed 3.5.3 but I'm not sure if what I did was right...seeing I lost my stealth armor that I crafted myself, along with my shears and calipers.

Reading the install notes it said something like disable MMM ( I assumed this was DEACTIVATE in obmm) so I did that, then hmm well I just installed 3.5.3 in obmm. But mmm3.0 is still showing up it is just not activated, was I supposed to right click mmm3.0 and do a CLEAN ? (or delete or whatever).

Is my setup fubar and would it be safer to re-install from scratch ? Oh yeah my excuse for messing things up is that english isn't my first language :P

Thank you for reading and please tell me what steps are required for a proper update.

Upgrading the Martigen's can be a tad confusing. I had to go through the whole thing recently so I can help.

1- Take your original MMM 3.0 and put it in a separate folder(on your desktop works or anywhere that's comfortable).

2-Take that 3.5.3 upgrade and unzip it IN THE SAME FOLDER, when it asks if you want to replace the file already there with the new one, select yes for all. This will upgrade the esp's and esm's to the new one without losing anything of the old

Next steps are to go even further.

3-download MMM 3.5.5. Do the same thing, install it in the SAME FOLDER. When it asks if you want to replace the file with the new one, select yes to all(this download isn't all that big and shouldn't take long to DL)

4- Download MMM 3.6beta2 do the same thing. (this download doesn't take long either)

Ok, whichever upgrade you stopped on, take all the finished product and copy it over to your Oblivion/data folder. if you still have MMM stuff in there, don't worry, just select replace to all when it asks.

If you go ahead and get the other 2 upgrades with it, you'll then have the complete, up to date MMM, compatible with almost anything and with all the new good stuff.

You really don't HAVE to put all the things into that separate folder, but it helps in organization and keeping your wits while doing each one. You could just copy the files over into your data directory one at a time using the above steps, but I say make it as easy as possible.

Hope this helps. Let me know if it does, I like to feel good helping people out.
