LordArchanos
I have no idea what is causing the below effect. i've never seen something like it before in a game, besides fallout new vegas. i figure it has to be one of my mods. but i've used pretty much the same list as always, and i've only had this problem once or twice, but can't remember how i fixed it. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you. dubiousintent
What you have here is a "symptom". We need to pin done the "cause" which is affecting "foreground" display (which is relatively rare in the manner shown). My first guess would be that you have too many plugins, leading to memory problems (especially with the "video pipeline"). You may have forgotten this game can have problems with more than roughly 128-140 mods (depending upon the mix). We see all sorts of strange things when that happens. But the first thing to try with any graphics related problem is to toggle "ArchiveInvalidation" off-and-then-on-again. Please provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article. Don't forget to identify things that do not appear in the "load order", such as if you are using a "regional language version" of the game; using the FNV4GB Patch, NVSE and it's related plugins; replacements for textures (specifically their larger image sizes: 1024x1024, etc.), animations, or "bodies", etc.; and "post-processors" like ENB or SweetFX. It saves us playing "20 questions" and gets you a more specific answer more quickly. (The usual turn-around on post and reply in an older game forum is 24 hours.)* See "How to markup images (etc) in forum posts and comments" article for how to use "Spoiler tags". -Dubious-

Game version, to include patch level? 1.4, i believe? i'm not sure how to tell. Any official DLCs ("Down Loadable Content")? All of them. Are you using NMM ("Nexus Mod Manager"), "Vortex" (the replacement for NMM) or any other mod manager? Yes, wrye flash standalone off the nexus, since wrye bash standalone won't work, and i'm using the latest downloadable file off there. Are you using a game "construction kit" like TESCS, SKSE, or GECK? No. Any other helper programs: BOSS? LOOT? Tes5Edit? Wrye Bash? Script Extenders? NVSE, and loot. Are you using any general gameplay "enhancements" such as the ENB or SweetFX "post-processors", multi-player overlays like those from OverWolf or Steam, etc.? No. Have you applied a "LAA/4GB Patch" to enable your 32-bit game to use more than 2GB of system memory? NOTE: This is not needed for GOG versions of games as they are already patched in this regard. I believe so, i know i downloaded one. Did the Game work and then stop, or has it never worked? It's always worked. Have you tried having Steam "verify local files"? Not yet. Do you have "Hide known file extensions" enabled in "Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options"? (This can mask added extensions like ".txt" that cause the file to be treated incorrectly by the system or ignored by the game.) I have no idea what this is. dubiousintent
At 130 (hex 80) plugins, you are on the edge of the number of plugins where people start to have problems. It's not a "hard-and-fast" number. Fortunately you have some simple remedies available.Number one I would suggest is to create a "merge plugin" of all the "More Perks" and "More Traits" mods using Mator's Merge Plugins Standalone (MPS). I know you can easily merge those mods, so that alone should be sufficient to tell if "too many plugins" is the problem, and will give you more "plugin room" down the line. Please see the wiki "Merged Plugin Guidelines for Personal Use" article.Do you have "New Vegas Stutter Remover" (NVSR) installed? (You should.) If so, please see the 'Issue: CTD after 10-20 minutes of play (post-Win10 2017 FCU)' and 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu' entries in the 'Solutions to "Crash To Desktop" (CTD) problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.Re these two mods specifically:52 Wastelander Pack FPS Fix.esp53 Wastelander Pack.esp* "Compatibility patches" to make one mod work with another need to be placed after (as in "physically lower, higher numbered") in the "load order" than ALL of the plugins they are designed to make compatible. (This also applies to "fix" files.) ESMs should always be placed at the top (lowest numbered) positions in the "load order", followed by the related ESPs though they can be separated from their ESMs by other plugins. "LOOT" does a good job of determining those basic orders. Getting the "load order" incorrect will cause "Missing Masters" errors as well. You can make minor adjustments to the order and tell LOOT how to remember them. It's in the on-line documentation under "Metadata". FYI: The "pre-order packs" (aka "POPs": Caravan, Classic, Mercenary, and Tribal; available now in the "Courier's Stash" addon), are not considered "true DLC expansions" by most mods and "compatibility patches" because they just add certain unique items. So their absence should not deter you from using "All DLC Merged" plugins. Where they are included, they should come after "GunrunnersArsenal.ESM" which is a true DLC expansion. When in doubt, follow the process in the wiki "Missing Masters" article to confirm they are not "master files" for that plugin. To help resolve your "I don't know or am not sure" information for future reference:Re - Determining your Patch version: Start the game, then in the Main Menu select "Settings | Display" and look in the lower left corner. You may need to place your cursor over the "VaultBoy" icon before it will display the version information. But if you obtained the "Ulitimate" or "Game of the Year" edition you have it fully patched already.Re - Wrye Flash: So do I, so ask if you have questions. (Looks like you have the basics down anyway.) By "latest", hopefully you mean version 18.0, which just was posted yesterday.Re - Helper programs: Please see the 'Towards Game Stability', and the 'Common Game Problems' sections (at a minimum) of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.Re - the 4GB Patch: If you aren't sure, just run the patcher again. Make sure it's 4GB Patcher. Won't hurt and it will tell you if it is already patched. This is very important to confirm as it will undoubtedly be the source of your problem if not applied with that many mods.Re - "Hide known file extensions": This is a "Folder Option" in Windows/File Explorer. The DigitalCitizen.life article 8 ways to open the Folder Options window, in Windows (all versions) will show you how to access that.-Dubious-
