charwo Posted July 22, 2012 Share Posted July 22, 2012 I seem to be punished for roleplay. Long and short, I'm trying to play as organically as possible. I had essentially tried to finish up the entire game before doing Tranquility Lane. One thing led to another, and I found all the Vault Locations at Vaultec, and then I couldn't justify my LW not knowing where in the Hell to look for Vault 112. So, after I spring her dad, he mentions a GECK, and my LW like oh! I know every Vault location in the Capital Wasteland! I will find a GECK for dear old dad while he assembles his team at Rivet City. Chronic Hero Syndrome led her to stumble onto Little Lamplight way, way WAY too early, and well... Besides the fact the game is not set up to handle running American Dream before Waters of Life (scripting laziness), it makes for many CTD. In other words, I need to not get ambushed by the Enclave, and do as little backtracking as possible. I freed Fawkes and their was much killing and looting. If I use the remove item command to nick having the GECK will that do that trick? Or what else do I need to do? This is frustrating as hell, so any help on this would be awesome. Thank you.
