Question on Scripting a Meeting

I'm currently building a city of sorts, and one of my ideas was to have a weekly 'event' in the city where all the merchant's would gather and hold a council meeting to discuss their issues or whatever, the merchant would bring up and issue and a proposal on how to fix it, and then a vote of sorts would be taken (easiest way I could figure out is all the people for the proposal would stand up, the rest would sit down...) So here's how I would have it.

 

 

Council meeting starts, Merchant A can randomly select from a list of 6 Issues. Merchant B can select from 3 different issues (each on pertaining to their type, such as Blacksmith or alchemist, etc.)

 

Merchant A stands up and brings up issue 3, then sits down after his proposal. The Council-leader asks for a vote and four merchants stand while six stay sitting. The council-leader then states the proposal is overruled.

 

Merchant B then stands up and brings up issue 1, the vote is taken but this time nine stand and only one sits, the council-leader then states that the council has agreed to the Proposal and everyone sits down.

 

this continues until all ten merchants have spoken and the council is adjourned and the merchants return to their stores.

 

 

But... I have no idea if scripting something like this would even be possible. If anyone knows of a way, or a link that would give me an idea on how to do something like this please let me know as I've been unable to find anything. If it's impossible, let me know so I'm not running around in the dark trying to find non-existent information!

No idea how to help you, but a really good idea.

After another two hours of searching I still haven't found anything. I don't think it's possible to script anything like this. Ah well, I'll figure something else out.

 

If it gets into highly advanced scripting then I probably wouldn't be able to do it anyway since I don't know that much about it.
