I've made the .esp a .esm and i will see if it lets me alter it with an addon. Edit: Ok thats not working either. Reditude Posted August 1, 2012 Share Posted August 1, 2012 somebody previously stated it i think, but a mechanic to have travelers and merchants pass through or possibly set up shop could be pretty cool. say like do a quest chain for the gun runners and they'll have a merchant set up shop for you. my thoughts for the future of WD is basically an immersive "aftergame" to keep you attached to playing after the campaign is done. something fun and constantly changing or as close to it as possible. maybe even a quest chain to have your base become "factionized" (making up words now) to 1 of the 3 major factions, (NCR, Legion, House) and then by doing so allow for "reinforcements" to help add to your bases security. An Agriculture system is another option although i think RTS has that. if you really want me to be imaginative; a full scale war system. where you have a home base and eventually can spread out to make smaller bases and the enemy also manufactures bases. but that may be a bit too creative i dont know. could have a "squad" system for the patrols where Guard A and Guard B stay together while Guard C and Guard D keep to them selfs as well. Minefields? traps? allow companions to call your base home? bunkers? I'm just throwing out ideas. I think all of them are good but most may be out of reach at least for the time being. I dont know as yet. i am about to do an exstensive test to see how long i can last with 4 snipers and 4 AR guards. I like some of your ideas, particually the "factionized" option, but i was thinkning more along the lines of making your own faction. Today, i have added a new building plan w/ quest, altered the armory so it will change your guards weapons, added a new guard option, The Heavy Weapon Guard (Patrol) w/ independant scripts from the original patrols. kunun Posted August 1, 2012 Share Posted August 1, 2012 A few suggestions: Molerat farm - Can purchase molerats from it which wander around a bit. They could earn you a bit of income but then lose you a lot if you let them die. I think it would be fun trying to keep them alive in a raid, add an extra element to it. Not sure what income it should effect, just so long as theres a penalty for letting them die. Some kind of traning yard where you can increase guards stats or abilitys? Like the regen inplant or better energy weapon skill. Copy of the dinosaur outside novac, could add the interior the same way as the HQ building, but im not sure if the upstairs door could work. Could just have the door take you straight to the sniper point somhow. Stationary robots I guess would suffer from the same problem as the guards,but if you get that fixed...robots would be nice. Extend the distance you can build a bit and add more patrol markers. It would make it easier to get your patrols to avoid walls and buildings. Or a second set of four markers for a patrol route B?
