kagstrom2100
I just re installed windows and all programs, but when I was gonna add a new mesh item to Geck I got the "Invalid directory!" error, I looked all over Google for a answer but found nothing. Then I noticed that instead of beginning with "textures\..." and "meshes\..." it was going directly to "armor\..." etc. So I think that Geck is still reading from the .bsa files instead of the textures and meshes folders. I have tired with both the archive validator that comes with FMM and a dedicated one. Both reported that they where working ok. Anyone have any clue what the problem could be? viennacalling
It's not clear what the problem is. Then I noticed that instead of beginning with "textures\..." and "meshes\..." it was going directly to "armor\..." etc. That sounds normal. When adding a mesh, the GECK will try to start in the meshes subdirectory.

viennacalling
The only immediate thing I can think of is possible User Account Control (UAC) issues if you are running Windows Vista or 7. Try running GECK as an administrator.
