GreatNumidium Posted September 4, 2008 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Ok well i'm a noob to this site but I'm not a complete newbie to modding ( structures, simples quests) Ok well without giving away the idea of the mod I want a few different people from around cyrodill to meet up at one place ( part of a quest ) and sit around a table when you sit. How could I do that??Also is it possible to have a discussion, like speak with them all, so "NPC A" will speak to "NPC B" and my character will have something to say to that, while we are all sitting.?????????? Khet Posted September 5, 2008 Share Posted September 5, 2008 I'm not that great at scripting but I do know that it IS possible to make NPCs gather at a location when the player sits down (take for example the main quest when you meet with the guy in the sewers) As for a conversation between two NPCs that the player can actually say something during, I'm pretty sure that's impossible unless you improvise: Say NPC A initiates conversation with player. NPC A has voice acting and lip-sync for line one. Then NPC A 'speaks' line 2, but line two uses a different voice (the voice of NPC B) without lip-syncing so it doesn't look like NPC A was the one that spoke, then player can choose from conversation options that would either make NPC A talk, or NPC B 'talk' through NPC A. But, as for making the conversation ping-pong between NPC A and NPC B so it zooms in on each of them respectively, I'm pretty sure it's impossible. GreatNumidium Posted September 5, 2008 Author Share Posted September 5, 2008 thanks well what about if I could make it zoom in on an invisible npc (somehow) and in my screen of view I can see all the Npc's that I would like to be talking to, is it pissible to give another npc lip sync during a conversation with the invisible NPC?? Khet Posted September 5, 2008 Share Posted September 5, 2008 Yes an invisible NPC would work, as for lip syncing others no you couldn't. The main problem is is when when you're talking to the invisible NPC that's the one that will be saying the lines, not the others, and when you're in a conversation the world 'freezes' except for the NPC you're talking to, which is why even if you have a hundred guards six inches behind you and you talk to someone you're not beat to death during the conversation. But, if all your NPCs have unique voices, and possibly the player meets them before this meeting then they shouldn't get too confused and sit there thinking "wait, who's talking?"
