I am asking because years ago I began my own fan fiction, though I never did anything with it. I intend to rewrite it , and into a series. However, I don't want to bother if there are already plenty of good pieces out there. Just so you know, I do not have an account on any fan fiction website, and I will only submit to my own personal website, which should be made public shortly. It would only be a problem if a person tried to publish said fiction or tried to profit from it in anyway. You could always feel free to post your work up on this site.
