Gray faced NPCs

First off, I'm not 100% on where this topic should be, so if it's in the wrong place, sorry.

 

As in desc, I know this has been a problem before, and is usually related to a modded NPC, I know about the CK fixes, I know that some people have been able to fix it by reinstalling the NPCs and body/skin mods.

 

Here's the problem:

Updated CBBEv3 (when I say updated, I mean, I haven't bothered with anything but the main file since april.. added skin tex, face tex, the works, and most recent main)

 

At first, it was just a few mod companions that were getting the gray face, I tried the setnpcweight quick-fix and it seemed fine for a while, aside from having to do it every time I loaded up my game.

 

After a while I figured I'd try the CK thing, to no avail.. reinstalled mods, as per the advice of a few friends who directed me to other forums.

 

But now ALL female NPCs are gray/dark faced. :|

I've googled, I've searched forums, I've asked for help in chat, no one seems to have an answer yet.

 

So, anyone at all, is there any fix to this aside from scrapping the entire game, and reinstalling everything (game included), starting over from scratch?

Anything that doesn't involve CK? Because I'm obviously clueless with CK, or it's not working.

 

 

Edit: Reason I'm not certain where this belongs, is because I don't know if it's related to a mod anymore.

I've uninstalled mods, reinstalled, left mods uninstalled, no matter what I seem to do with mods it doesn't change anything, every single female NPC I've come across now has a darker face than body.

Same issue for me with Alva and Lissette so far... I did a "purty npc's" mod for my own use when CK first came out, did the ctrl + f4 for every single modified character (and did so again for any changes or updates since) and in my newest playthrough since buying Dawnguard I have as above mentioned Alva and Lissette with gray faces and the setnpcweight command works for the cell I'm in but next time encountering them in another cell BOOM!! GRAY FACE!! Went back into CK and did ctrl + f4 yet again and no joy!! Wonder if it's Dawnguard to blame!!!
