Raider's Note (Part of Treasure Hunt miscellaneous objective)

Hey everyone,

 

I already posted a similar topic but I thought I may have posted it under the wrong topic since nobody got back to me. I thought it might have been because it should of been posted under this category of Fallout troubleshooting instead. So onto the issue, around the Commonwealth you can find dead settlers, gunners, junkies, scavengers and raiders, I don't recall ever having an issue with the other notes but everytime I pick up a note off of a dead raider it tells me that "The gang up at […] had a pretty good haul recently" and adds no marker or quest objective to my pip boy. does anyone know why this might be happening? I don't have any mods that add new locations to the game or any mods that disable quests. So I checked the wiki page but this isn't listed as a bug. So I want to find out what's going on and if anyone else has had this problem or if they could suggest a fix?

I have recently have this issue and I too am searching around.

I remember, years ago, there was an issue with this as it points to Vault 75 under the Malden Middle school. The issue years ago that was common, base game, is that if you discovered the location before getting the note to go there, it would bug the vault and there would be no enemies preventing you from completing the vault. I don't think I ever found a solution.

The issue I have now is the same as your's have the [...] where it should have Malden Middle School.

I did a run and got the correct note, but I just recently restarted the play through from the start and received the note much earlier than previously. Not sure if that glitched it or not. I do remember however, is that if you don't get the marker on the map to go there, it bugs the vault.

I have not found a solution, but looking for a way to restart the note. It should be part the unmarked Treasure Hunt quest line, though no information is directly confirming this. In the mean time, I am hoping that another note pops up while I avoid the area like the plague.
