SKSE Gets to main menu then CTD

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a problem here. I updated Skyrim to the newest version (1.6.89.0) and I downloaded and installed the newest SKSE version to go with it (1.5.9) and when I first tried it, opened it up with skse_loader and such, the game worked fine, I was able to play, although it did take a while for my game to load from the main menu, it finally started to work. It was a tad choppy but it eventually smoothed out as I continued to play. I played for about half an hour and I turned the game off. When I went to try playing it again, it would get to the main menu, and when I hit continue, it would go to the loading screen where it shows your level in the top right and information about such and such persons, location, etc. in the centre. But then it would just crash to the desktop. I found this rather strange and I went searching around for an answer, and I've yet to find anyone who's had the same issue as I have. I've tried removing SKSE and reinstalling it, but to no avail. It still crashes at that same point. Could anyone help me?

 

I've modded my game, with the Skyrim HD mod, better snowflakes and fire/smoke visuals. Mainly aesthetic things. I also have SkyUI which tells me that it needs SKSE, I can play skyrim normally without SKSE, but using the normal launcher, but I'd like to be able to use SkyUI, which is why I'd like some help with this problem.
