Can't Disable DLC's

Recommended Posts

So, what broght me here was my will to remove the DLCs to start the game like it was a standard copy, instead of Ultimate Edition.

Fact is that I get bombarded by dlcs quests and itens right at the beggining of the game, and I want to play the DLC's only later on...

Have tried both the games 'Data Files' launch option and the NMM, both without success, what I'm doing at NMM is uncheck (which was already unchecked when I first opened NMM) and then launching the game. I still get all the DLCs items and quests when starting a new game.

Any help will be very appreciated guys.

Look in the data folder for the dlc files, and you'll find one's with the extension .nam. Delete those, and then turn off the DLC esps in the launcher (whichever you use).

.nam files are only there to make sure the DLC are auto-loaded, so removing them just stops it from happening.

Thanks man, I'll make sure to have those deleted! :)

Wow i searched about 2 hours with google and even the bethesda-ppl told me (the only solution i found) to delete all dlc files and start game before steam downloads them again, if i want to play without them. While searching i came to nexus site but didnt see this conversation here, but i felt like and decided that this is going to be my mod-site for Fallout NV. And then i also find this solution for my problem here.

What i wanne say with that: is just that i love this site from now on :D And of course a very big thank you to all ppl working on and for nexus....

Do you have "show file extensions" enabled in your Windows Explorer?

Are you playing a "regional language" version of the game? If so, please see the "Issue: Regional Non-English language version ..." entries in the 'Solutions to Starting the game problems' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article.
