Skyrim stopped launching fullscreen overnight? (already edited .ini files)

I got modded Skyrim SE working as I wanted last night, fullscreen and borderless. However when I launched the game again this morning it was back to having an off-centered windowed border as it was by default. I did not change the .ini files at that time, I since set them read-only and changed the internal Steam/.../Skyrim SE .ini files to the same settings and read-only as well. Still windowed border. I pressed ALT + ENTER at the main menu, but that only brought up a login prompt for Bethesda's site. If I launch Skyrim SE from Steam directly it's fullscreen borderless as I want, but it is unmodded of course.

I should note that I closed and reopened MO2 before launching the game today. Are there any settings internal to the mod launcher that I am missing?

Edit: Another thing is that editing the resolution options doesn't seem to be changing the resolution or size of the window. Is the launcher not reading the .ini files now?

Hi

MO2 has nothing to do with resolution.

If you are using OneDrive that is the problem.

You need to have your ins set to read. Make copies of your ins and put them in another folder. If the game changes your inis copy the ones you saved back in.

If you are using OneDrive the game my be reading the inis from there so any changes you make won't matter to the game.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but there are no files inside my OneDrive? Meanwhile my internal files have not been changing, they are still set to bFull Screen = 1 even though they're not on read-only. It's weird, some options like subtitles will trigger some of the time, but borderless and full screen never trigger.

Finally resolved the issue, turns out it was the .inis after all, but not in the usual locations. All of the Steam guides I had been using were talking about the internal .inis to Skyrim and MyDocuments, which indeed were changed and work perfect for the base game. MO uses it own .inis however, accessed through the jigsaw button -> INI editor. And sure enough, bFullScreen = 0.
